INTRODUCTION

Tata Consultancy Services widely known as TCS. Whenever there is the name of "TATA" simultaneously a synonym also moves side by side to it called "TRUST".   TATA is one of the leading giants in the global industrial sector.  The name Tata is nearly in every business of the world apart from alcohol and tobacco. Tata group has one of the highest number of employees, employing, more than 5 lakh people. Apart from all these, Tata is the name widely known for its social welfare services, donations and charity. 

If Tata group is so trustable then how a hiring scam nourished in the Tata group for so many years without being noticed by the CEO, COO or anyone from the top-level management? There must be this question arising in your mind, the answer is because many higher-level officers were also involved in this scam. Let us know how everything started from starting till the end.

What the Scam is all about?

The tata hiring scam is done mainly by the Resource Management Group of TCS. Some sources also say that few executives from the top-level management were also involved in doing the scam. The Resource Management Group of TCS mainly used to take bribe from various HR firms in exchange of giving jobs to the candidates brought in by those HR Firms. Being one of the leading employers in the global industrial world, few reports prove that TATA hires a new candidate every minute for its organization to involve them in various projects undertaken by the TATA group. So, it is speculated that the hiring officers of have taken more than "100" crores as bribe from various HR Firms. This Scam was going on for past many years under the nose of the top-level management of the TATA Group.

How the scam came to limelight?

The whole hiring scam came to limelight when the whistleblower of the company wrote a letter to the CEO and COO of the company regarding the matter. (A whistle blower is a person who works to find out internal issues or problems occurring inside the organization).

The whole top-level management went in a state of shock hearing about the fraud and the fraud amount (100 crores).

What actions were taken by TCS?

Immediately, after getting the information about the scam TCS formed a committee to investigate into the matter. After the findings of the investigation team, it was revealed that 4 officers from the Resource Management Group were involved in this matter, they were fired immediately and the company blocked 3 staffing firms for further hiring. Sources also say that the Executive of the organization was also sacked from his position, who was found to be guilty in the above scam.

What does TCS said on this matter?

TCS said that there is no such scam happening in the organization and the hiring process is safe and secure. There is no scam undergoing in the organization. The TCS employees said that all the news circulating about the scam is false and no truth lies in any of the speculation made by the people. They also requested the public to stay away from these kinds of speculations. Apart from this they also said that the company is always adhere to its guidelines while hiring potential candidates. The CEO also said that the business should always uphold the values that are the cornerstone of an employee's ability to work in an organization.
